Very Nice Old Navajo Cluster Bracelet from Fort Defiance Trading Post
I got this bracelet in 1982 from Francis Griswold who owned and ran the Fort Defiance Trading Post. It's original pawn ticket from Oct 31,1956 shows that Helen A Yazzie pawned it for 16.50. It appears to have had old Arizona Turquoise, probibly Kingman, that has turned green from wear. It is also missing a dot of silver which came off from wear as well. This is truely an old Navajo ladies bracelet from about 1920. It will fit a medium sized womans wrist. The inner bracelet circumference measures : 5 1/2" , plus an opening of 1". 35.36mm at the widest point. The bracelet weighs 67 grams. The shank is 2.47mm thick.
